Hi everyone.
I really missed you guys while we were gone.
Steve and I got home late last night and I am soooo pooped. Even though the trip had a few bumps along the way we had a FABULOUS time. No earthquake, hurricane or Venice airport strike was going to put a damper on our trip.
Venice was wonderful and the Greek islands were amazingly beautiful. I have to give a hand to Royal Caribbean for such a wonderful experience. We were skeptical if we would really love cruising since we had always traveled independently. I must say the entire staff and cruise line made this one of the most memorable and fun trips ever.
Now I have to get back to reality.
No more having two desserts for dinner..hey, they were small!
Obviously, not small enough since I gained six pounds.
It was totally worth every pound!
We came home to find out our power had been out for five days thanks to Hurricane Irene and all the food in the refrigerator/freezer and the chest freezer in the garage had spoiled.
Sounds to me like a good time to start the diet.
I'll be back later with pictures and a giveaway of some trinkets from Venice and Mykonos.
A special thanks to Ann @ On Sutton Place for hosting the Open House party in my absence. Please join me back here for next week's party.
xo,
Sherry

Welcome back! Six lbs. is nothing...start drinking water and you'll lose it in a few days!
Welcome home....we love Royal Carribean...
Welcome home Sherry! So glad you had a wonderful time. Ann did a great job filling in. Can't wait to see your treasures.
Welcome back, Sherry!
Spoiled food...yuk! I feel awful for you to return to such a mess...although I can tell you are still deliriously happy from your travels. Looking forward to hearing all about it. : )
Welcome home, Sherry! I'm so glad you had a good time! It's always nice to get home EXCEPT when you come home to a mess! How awful that all your food spoiled...I can just imagine how much fun it was cleaning THAT mess up! xo Diana
Oh, so glad you had a good time and are back. I love to cruise and can't wait to hear all about it.
Welcome Home Sherry! So glad you were safe and had a wonderful time! Looking forward to photographs!
So glad you had a wonderful trip...so sorry you had to come home to a mess!
Welcome home, Sherry! We've only cruised twice but both times it was on Royal Caribbean. We had a great time on both trips; glad you enjoyed yours. I believe the average weight gain on cruises is 6-10 pounds, so you're on the lower end of the spectrum! : ) I'm sure you'll drop it once you start eating your regular diet again.
So glad you had a great trip!!! :)
Sherry, I'm sorry about your power outage, but I'm so glad you had a good time on your trip! It'll be fun to hear all about it. Welcome home!
Two desserts each night after dinner? Sounds good to me! ha!
So glad you had a fabulous time. You made some lifetime memories. Susan from writingstraightfromtheheart.blogspot.com

Hi
So happy you had a safe and wonderful trip. Yes, the Mediterranean is fabulous. My husband and I spent 18 days on a cruise last year celebrating our 50th Wedding Anniversary. I just love the food and Greece was so beautiful. The Blue roofs and the white houses are amazing. I can't wait to see your photos.

welcome back! glad you had a great time and can't wait to see the pics; those pounds will come right off~
Yuck, been there done that with the food in the frig thing. Its a mess but cleaning it out may take care of those six pounds as food won't look so appealing.
I'm sure your trip was wonderful and I hope we'll have some pictures on the blog soon. Welcome back!
Hooray! I saw your comment yesterday and thought, "Sherry's back!!!" I couldn't wait to hear about your trip. I'm glad it was so good. Now you need a vacation from your vacation. Lisa~
Cruising is the MOST relaxing way to vacation, except possibly in the Med with so much to see and do. But it is still so much fun and you will have the memories forever ( hopefully not the 6 pounds).
Glad you are back safely - Sounds like you had a great time.
Rhonda

Well, I wouldn't rush into that diet! ;-)
We too went through a recent storm and lost everything in the freezer. I could just see $$ signs going into the trash.
Can't wait to see pics of your adventure.
Welcome home, sounds like a wonderful trip!!
